Alonda Williams currently serves as a President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound – the largest and oldest mentoring organization in Washington State. She is a seasoned executive with a unique combination of technology, marketing, customer experience and nonprofit expertise.
Alonda enjoyed years of success as a technology executive leading teams at Verizon, Qualcomm, Bertelsmann and Microsoft. She also worked for years in fashion as well as in entertainment. She grew more and more interested in making and impact in nonprofit, so she pivoted her career to focus on driving social impact in youth serving organizations. She is now on a journey to use her unique talents and experiences to accelerate change in nonprofit focused on unlocking potential in young people.
Alonda brings the best of both the private and public sector to her work- with a unique collaborative style rooted in equity, empathy and empowerment. She has a unmatched ability to lead with kindness while driving accountability and high performance. She aims to build strong teams who want to be known for making a dent in the world by empowering others.
Outside of work, Alonda has created a personal platform around empowering girls. Her publishing company and books are designed to uplift and amplify stories that empower women and girls. Through her advocacy, speaking, organization support and personal activities she seeks to use her influence to empower young women and girls to unlock and step fully into their superpower.
